Who We Are
Since qualifying in 1997, I have gained extensive experience working with adults and young people in both art therapy and counselling. This includes individual and group work with a broad range of clients in a variety of settings. My areas of practice have included generic counselling and psychotherapy, student counselling, learning disability, perinatal mental health and trauma. I also work with childlessness and child bereavement. I offer art psychotherapy and counselling to therapists as part of their training, art psychotherapy and counselling to adults and clinical supervision. In addition I deliver workshops and training events for a number of organisations including C.G Jung Seminars Scotland and have been a visiting lecturer for the MSc Art Psychotherapy (International) course at Queen Margaret University.
For me, the quality of the therapeutic relationship is central. Within this I am particularly interested in how image, metaphor and imagination work with somatic and neurobiological processes to help cultivate the resources needed to create the positive change you seek.
